March 7 is Fairfield County Giving Day, a new way community members can help support the important work of local nonprofits. Sponsored by Fairfield County Community Foundation and Bank of America, the goal of this online, 24-hour day of giving is to raise $1 million for more than 300 nonprofits throughout the region.

SuperKids Social Skills Program Finds Darien Home at The Southfield Center for Development

The Southfield Center for Development is pleased to announce that we will add the successful and proven SuperKids social skills program to our therapeutic offerings in September 2013.

Founded by Nancy Widdows and Barbara Cooper, both licensed counselors and art therapists, the SuperKids program has provided exceptional support to children with social challenges for over fourteen years. With locations in Ridgefield, Norwalk, Milford, and Guilford, SuperKids has been a place where Connecticut children and teens experiencing difficulty fitting in with their peers come to feel safe and to learn the skills necessary to improve their social world.
